I do not own more assets than the mines of Aroa ...", this place is put into service as a park on August 19, 1977. It has a total area of \u200b\u200bnine thousand (9000) hectares and only fourteen (14), have been developed for tourism and recreation, with the construction of changing rooms, restrooms and other amenities. Visitors should park your car in the parking lot entrance and prepare for a walk of three (3) miles, if you want to know all the structures established there since ancient times, it is recalled that the exploitation of "Las Minas de Aroa" takes out since the seventeenth century (17). Although it is advisable to choose a time when the sun is not intense, this course has the shadow of numerous species of trees such as avocado, lemon, orange, soursop, guava, saman, saman and rubber. One of the most interesting, is what is common to find traces of the old railway, which crossed the railway Bolivar to cover the route Tucacas - Aroa, to transport the product from copper mines. The walk is accompanied by the presence at certain points in three areas turned into museum: ecological, artistic and technological seen them both machinery spaces, used by the miners to process and transport the copper and equally beautiful dimensional sculptures. The route leads to an area that served as home to engineers, surveyors and experts who worked in the mines, currently serves as a refuge for visitors and you can stay there, for the modest price night. Near this area is the river and mine some mouths with their cars. If the visitor closes his eyes and opens a little imagination, be transported to another time and listen with the roar of the waters of the mine work and the people there found its history.
